We did it in eight weeks

On 29 June we wrote the first line of code for FD Sundhed. Eight weeks and one day later both apps were live with real users, and the platform was running.

Not a prototype. Not a pilot. Booking that works, payments that go through, and consent handling that meets the rules for health data — the strictest category in GDPR.

One person was behind it. He doesn't write code.

What's different

We don't build faster by rushing. We build faster because we've removed what usually eats the time.

You see it before it's built. Every screen is drawn as a real, clickable page you can open on your phone and say yes or no to. Moving a button in a drawing is cheap. Moving it in a finished system is not.

Nothing is called done without proof. Here, a task can't be signed off with a shrug. There has to be a screenshot from a real browser, a database lookup, a test that ran. That single rule removes the weeks you'd otherwise spend discovering, three months later, that something never worked.

And no, it isn't too good to be true

The system doesn't catch everything. In August we chased the same bug five times and fixed it wrongly three times, before we built a tool that could record the screen and measure what actually happened. Then it was solved in ninety minutes.

That happens. The difference is we find out in days rather than quarters — and you get to watch it happen.
